"In Painting, you have unlimited power..."

- Bob Ross

Teaching visual literacy is a foundation for youth to utilize art making as a mode of self-expression and method to build confidence. This class will center upon teaching traditional painting techniques and the importance of learning how to construct meaning from everything we see, incorporating drawing as well as other forms of mark making to further expose students to different methods of visual representation. Students will learn about color theory and be asked to work on collaborative painting projects to enhance their abilities to work as a team.
