Disability Awareness

Our Disability Awareness Program is a unique presentation that dispels myths about persons who live with disabilities. Paralympian wheelchair basketball athlete, Jacob Counts and Skool Aid founder Ian Smith, will come to your school to “tell it like it is” about life with a disability and encourage students to overcome challenges and the power of positvitiy.

In this three part assembly, Jacob shares the successes and failures he has experienced both on and off the basketball court. Jacob hosts a question and answer session during which the audience will have the opportunity to gain knowledge about disabilities. We will demonstrate the fundamental skills needed for wheelchair basketball before getting you and your students on the court for an exciting game the whole school will love.

This program provides motivation to all students and faculty, as well as point out how overcoming obstacles in life can provide the tools needed for success.
