About us

Skool Aid was founded in May 2011 by Ian Smith, a Northern Kentucky native with over 15 years of experience working with children. What began as a small initiative providing summer programs for elementary students has grown into a thriving enrichment organization.

Today, Skool Aid offers a variety of after-school, summer, and supplemental school-year programs. With an incredible team of talented instructors, we’ve proudly served over 500 clients—and we’re still growing!

From classrooms to community spaces, Skool Aid is on a mission to enrich the lives of learners of all ages. Our programs serve public and private schools, boys and girls homes, non-profit organizations, senior centers, and other community groups.

We bring together passionate Teaching Artists from diverse backgrounds to deliver engaging enrichment opportunities in Language Arts, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Wellness, S.T.E.M., Disability Awareness, and more!

Our programs are designed to inspire learners, spark creativity, uncover hidden talents, encourage positive behaviors, and—most importantly—make learning fun and unforgettable!

Teaching Artists

Our passions are our offerings!! Skool Aid's amazing team of Teaching Artists have developed over 60 classes and programs categorized into our six pillars…Wellness, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Language Arts, STEM & Disability Awareness

I wanted you to know that I overheard two of the boys that helped you out today talking at their lockers after lunch. The one boy told the other this was ‘the best day ever,’ and the other boy replied it was ‘so awesome!’ You make such a difference and all of the 6th grade teachers at lunch were talking about how great the assembly was!
— Johnica Baker - Special Education Team Leader, Gray Middle School
WOW!!!! Truly the best assembly I have EVER attended (even from my school days)!!!!
— Megan Burkey - Instructor Assistant, The Academy of World Languages
